Fast Shutter Speed:
The first photo and the photo directly below that (same photo: one is black and white, the other is color) were captured using a fast shutter speed. The camera was set on S and the shutter speed was probably set to around 1/1000 of a second. The white balance was set to cloudy and ISO was set to 200. The action of a pinwheel spinning was frozen in the image. It was taken very close up to avoid unnecessary background noise and negative space. The camera was set to all of the same settings except for shutter speed which was set to about 1'. The pom pom was directly in front of the camera and very close up, this was a benefit to the photo because you can see the crisp, clear background through the blurred pom pom.
