I personally believe that my best pattern and texture photo is the bottom left photo of the front of SBRHS. I was standing below the awning of the front of the building. I was fairly close but I was looking up at the subject. This photo is horizontal. There was not much in this photo to follow the rule of thirds but with a stretch of the rule of thirds, one could say that the photo is divided horizontally in thirds. This photo shows a pattern or repetition of rectangular shapes and there is rhythm where there are vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines. The same picture that is my favorite is also the one that is overexposed, it is very white but the subject I was shooting was all white, the only darks were the shadows created. The photo of the grass may be underexposed, or very dark, there are lots of grays and darks but not a lot of whites or brights. The bottom right photo of the bricks, I believe is properly exposed. There is a nice combination of grays going on in the image. Maybe the bike rack is a better emample because there are darks, lights and grays nicely shown in the photo.
